With the Ada Lounger, Freifrau expands the collection designed by Hanne Willmann to include a generously proportioned variant.
The solid wooden frame, which already defines the character of the Ada Chair, also forms the design foundation here. This contrasts with the softly curved silhouette and the sumptuous upholstery, which falls into casual folds. References to 1970s fashion – loose silhouettes, sweeping collars and flowing shapes – are reflected in the design and lend the piece an almost effortless casualness. Whilst the clean-lined wooden construction ensures architectural precision, the sweeping proportions and gentle curves emphasize the lounger’s informal character. In this way, Ada builds on the design concept of the original chair and translates its clarity into a new form of comfort.
